The baseball club plans to host their second annual golf scramble this Saturday at the Poplar Golf Course in Wisconsin.
All profits will be donated to the Duluth Huskies to support the club during a year of cancellation as they gear up for their 2021 season.
“No one ever anticipated I don’t think, that this COVID-19 issue was going to continue on as a long as it did. The Northwoods League was gracious enough to give us an out if we chose not to play this summer and I still believe we did the right thing,” explained Huskies owner Mike Rosenzweig. “Now we’re going to look forward to a great 2021 because there’s a lot of pent up baseball excitement out there,” he added.
Tee times start at 10 A.M. Teams are made up of four. The cost is $40.00 per person for 9 holes, which includes a cart and baseball-themed meal.
There will also be prizes, a silent auction, and a trophy for the team that wins it all.
