The NFL is dealing with a testing problem.the league saying Today a influx of positive COVID-19 results have all been traced to the same laboratory in New Jersey, sparking a belief they were false-positives.
Coach Mike Tomlin alluded to some problems following last night’s practice.
“We had a number of guys that we held out of work or missed work today because they are caught up in COVID procedures. No one to mention at this time in terms of being on the COVID list, but they are in the procedure. ”
All 6 Steelers players that did not participate in practice Saturday missed because of the COVID-19 protocol.
Those players returned to meetings Today and will practice Monday.
The NFL has been retesting players that recieved positive results from the New Jersey lab.
So far it is finding evidence that leads the league to believe the issue involves testing irregularities.
As of Sunday, only four of the nearly 3,000 players who have spent time in training camp league wide are currently on the league’s COVID-19 list.
