It appears the New England Patriots will have a competition at the kicking position this year after all.
Veteran kicker Nick Folk, who spent part of last season in New England, is expected to sign with the Patriots on Monday according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The #Patriots are having free agent K Nick Folk in for a visit, and the plan is for him to sign Monday, source said. He’ll go through the protocol first.

Adding Folk would give 2020 fifth-round draft pick Justin Rohrwasser competition in camp. The rookie hasn’t kicked in front of the media since 3-for-5 on field goals Monday. There has been no clear explanation for his absence.
Folk played in eight games for the Patriots in 2019, converting 16-of-19 field goals and all 13 of his extra-point attempts.
