Not only was Lucas Giolito‘s no-hitter a dominant display -his second consecutive start with 13 strikeouts- but it was an efficient one, too.
#WhiteSox Lucas Giolito:
No no-hitter has been recorded with both fewer pitches and more strikeouts.

What does that mean?
It means that there has never been an MLB no-hitter with at least 13 strikeouts and fewer than 101 pitches. It’s basically the exact opposite of Edwin Jackson’s eight walk, 149-pitch no-hitter back in 2010.
Giolito’s no-hitter produced the second most most swing-and-misses in a no-hitter (30) since Nolan Ryan (31) in 1990 and was the most in that category in 32 years:
Giolito lowered his ERA to 3.09 on the season in the win; plus, with 26 strikeouts over his last two starts, has moved into second in the MLB with 58 strikeouts.
