The Holland Christian girls golf team opened up OK Green Conference dual meet play with a 187-209 loss to Hudsonville Unity Christian on Thursday at Pigeon Creek.
Jade VanEyk led the Maroons with a 49. Georgia Lincicum and Lydia VanderLaan both shot 52.
Unity Christian was led by Joy Hess with a 44.

Panthers take 7th
The West Ottawa girls golf team shot a 207 to finish in seventh place in the OK Red Jamboree on Thursday at The Meadows.
Lauren Villemure led the way with a T-12th place finish individually with a 47. Sophie Walsh added a 51, while Addie Corell shot a 54, and Grace Gaul, in her first varsity jamboree, shot a 55.
Rockford won with a 170, followed by Grandville (191), Hudsonville (192), Caledonia (194), East Kentwood (195), Grand Haven (196). Jenison was eighth with a 234.
BOYS TENNIS
Hawkeyes fall to BC
The Hamilton boys tennis team lost 5-3 to Byron Center on Thursday.
Colin Costello won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, Kyle Theodore won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and Gavin Lezman-Jason Tanis won 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 4 doubles.
