Who you callin’ yella?
I guess it’s only natural that the YellaWood 500 involve lots of talk about the yellow line. In the aftermath, there was plenty of folks – including Junior Earnhardt – about just getting rid of the line entirely and letting the drivers settle things without the “referees” upstairs getting involved. It’s an attractive consideration.
Probably. When the topic was raised post-race with some drivers, they pointed out the obvious: Ditch the rule, chaos would ensue and you would have even more wrecks than we have now. Meanwhile, imagine if Matt DiBenedetto had crossed the line first only to be disqualified. Talk about chaos.
